The task force is reviewing the philosophy and direction of Fine Arts Education in Alberta with specific focus on the implications and management of the Instrumental Music Program from Kindergarten to Grade 12 within the Calgary Board of Education (CBE). The immediate function of the task force is to gather data to identify short-term considerations and recommendations to go to Superintendents' Team for the end of May. The task force has sanctioned two sub-committees to consider separately the question of access and financial processes.
We want to ensure that all interested and supportive groups and individuals in education and the Fine Arts are kept up to date on the work of the task force.
